What's New In Memtime v4.0
Free update for all timeBro users and customers
We're excited to introduce you to a few enhancements that will make your time tracking smoother and more efficient than ever before.
This release is all about boosting performance, reducing resource consumption, and incorporating numerous customer requests. Let's dive into what awaits you in memtime v4.0.
Performance-oriented and resource-friendly
With memtime v4.0, we've placed a significant emphasis on performance optimization and resource efficiency. We understand that your time is valuable, and you need a time tracking tool that's quick and responsive.
Moreover, we've expanded our support to include Linux, making memtime accessible to an even broader user base.
Automating time entries made easy
Perhaps the standout highlight of memtime v4.0 is the introduction of automated time entry creation through custom rule sets. We know that tracking your time manually can sometimes be a hassle, which is why we've implemented this powerful automation feature.
Now, you can let memtime handle time entries for you based on your activities, saving you valuable time and effort.
To try it, simply click on the Menu Icon within the app and choose Preferences. Navigate to the "Time Entry Suggestion Rules" tab on the left menu.
If you click on "Create a new Rule," a window will pop up, allowing you to name your rule and define the conditions for automatic time entry creation. The flexibility is remarkable - you can set up rules based on various parameters, including:
- Activity name
- Contact information
- Specific URLs
- App name
- Window title
- Document path
Let's walk through an example. Imagine you have a daily customer success meeting that you want to track automatically. With memtime's rule sets, you can easily create a rule to book all activities containing "daily customer success" in their name to your customer success project.
memtime will then suggest time entries based on your rules. You have the freedom to accept the suggestion, make edits, or decline it. So you remain in full control of your time entries.
The rule creation process is illustrated in the following video:
Other new features in memtime v4.0:
- Reworked List View
- Seamless switch between Timeline View and List View
- Multi-select recorded times in Timeline / Memory Aid to create (multiple) Time Entries
- New Context Menu
- Timesheet and Statistics are now merged into Reportings
- Reworked Dark Color Mode
Additionally, we completely rewrote the sub-system for Connected Apps. This will allow for more feature-rich and more flexible Connected Apps in the future. All existing Connected Apps will work with the new sub-system, and we will gradually enhance our Connected Apps to use the new capabilities.
